Hm. I guess I'm a combination of the first two. I think these are huge, sweeping generalizations, though, and that it is possible to place faith at the center of your family while still having an optimistic outlook on life, for example.

We are most like Engaged Progressives and least like The Detached. We have parts of both the other categories though. I don't think we fit completely in one category.

gosh it's hard to put every parent into just these 4 categories.....
I guess I identify most with the 'Engaged Progressives'
I think it's interesting that they say the first 2 groups 'see themselves as less strict than their parents, and closer to their children'
