Progesterone & BFN

Hi ladies, I am on 12 or 13DPO and taking progesterone suppositories. I have been having lots of nausea & headaches, but I am still getting a BFN. ANyone else have any experience on this?

  • Unfortunately, the suppositories can cause the same symptoms as early pregnancy. Best to keep testing or have it confirmed by a blood test to be sure. Good luck!

  • Progesterone can give you the same symptoms as pregnancy.  It sucks.  Good Luck!!

  • I am and thank you! :) DH and I have been trying about a year. This is our first month with a RE, 2nd round of clomid (100mg 3-7), trigger on CD12, started taking progesterone on 2DPO. Now 12-13 DPO. DH has low couth & low morph. Nice to meet you all and thanks for the feedback!

    GL!  This board is a wealth of knowledge and support.  What instructions did your RE give re the progesterone?  Mine always said test 15DPO and stop if it's BFN.  FX for you!

    Good luck! Like the PPs said, progesterone can give alot of the same symptoms as pregnancy, but I found that each cycle taking them got better and better.

    TTC #2 with assistance since 03/11
    Me: 33, Autoimmune (Hashimotos and FMS/CFS)
    Treated with Synthroid, acupuncture, TCM and supplements
    DH: 33, MFI (very low on all counts, high antibodies, hemochromatosis)
    Many treatments tried, none successful

    IVF/ICSI #1 05/14 - EPP/Antagonist, Gonal-F and Luveris, 18R, 14M, 13F - SET of 1BC, all arrested on day 5 - C/P
    Genetic testing = normal, DNA Frag = excellent
    IVF #2 03/15 - Long protocol with Suprefact, Gonal-F, and possibly Luveris, adding in PICSI
