Baby Wearing in the Cold

I have a Moby wrap, which I love. I would like to go see the holiday lights at our zoo with DD, but I am not sure what to do to keep everyone warm. I am not sure putting a coat on LO will work with Moby.  I don't want to buy anything special just to use once or twice.  We live in Ohio and it will most likely be in the 40's when we are out (and dark so that we can see the lights).  Any suggestions?

    If you plan to continue baby wearing, you can get a Kowalli coat.  I live in the Philadelphia area...it's very cold, so I just ordered one after seeing a friends.

    Dress baby in warm layers, I assume this is something you have for winter anyhow, and wear a large coat yourself. I frequently zip my sweatshirt or coat over my ergo with baby in it. A moby is less bulky than that. They will also still get your body heat for extra warmth.

    DD was small enough last year that I just zipped my coat around us both after she was in the carrier.  You could also wear your husband's coat if that would work better.  A friend also recently posted this--it's on sale!

    Just lurking but I want that coat now!  But I live in Texas and it's not too cold for long and I mainly babywear inside so there would be no need for it, but thanks for sharing and $48 is a great price!

    I used a Peekaru with DS2 and it was great. it's a vest, so I was able.to use it all the way into spring. Does your DH have any sweatshirts or coats? I also used one of my DH's old coats to cover up.

    Wearing DH's coat is a great idea!  Or maybe my mom's since she is about 2 sizes larger than me.  Thanks ladies :)
