Went in for my blood work today for the 1 hr glucose test and as soon as I mentioned twins she told me "oh you'll be back for the 3 hr, twins never pass the 1 hr". I hope she is wrong because I have a horrible time giving blood.
What was your experience? Did you pass the 1 hr?
I know everyone is different I'm just curious.

Re: 1hr glucose test ?
She shouldn't have said that. It is true that your risk of failing the 1 hr is a bit higher with twins (they just put that much more stress on your body in general) but it is certainly not guaranteed, as many of the MoMs on this board can attest.
I, on the other hand, did just barely fail the 1-hr test (I blame it on my ILs' Halloween party the day before where I ate waaay more sweet stuff than I usually do), but passed the 3-hr test no problem. The 3-hr test was a way worse experience, though (not to scare you).....I was OK enough with all the pokes, but the solution made me super nauseous. :-P
GL! Hope you passed!!
I passed the 1 hour test no problem and did not have to do the 3 hour test. I also am terrible at giving blood because of low blood sugar/anemia.
I made sure to eat a high protein snack of cottage cheese before the test and avoided sugar the day before and day of! Good luck!
