Vaginal Bleeding after c/s?

Do you still have vaginal bleeding after a c/s? How heavy and how long did it last, if you had this? Also, when did it start? Thanks!

Yes, you still bleed. I don't remember exactly how long I bled - a few weeks, at least. It was pretty heavy at first, then tapered off.

I bled for 6 weeks after my first c/s and 7 weeks after my second.

I had heavy bleeding for about the first week and light/medium bleeding until almost 6 weeks PP.

I bled very heavily for about 4 weeks, then it tapered off and I finally stopped bleeding right around 7 or 8 weeks. The bleeding starts as soon as you deliver-it is from the placenta detaching from your uterine wall. My PP nurses changed my pads like once an hour the first day.

Mine was much shorter. It lasted about 3 weeks with the first week being quite heavy. The first 2 days were the heaviest. The rest was like a heavy period.

I started bleeding immediately. It was heavy for 4-5 weeks, but tapered off and ended by my 6 week appt. I was just spotting by then.

I didn't bleed much at all. When I was still opened up it sounded like they were "vacumming" stuff out of me. I spotted for a week or so after but it was old brown blood and that was all. Who knows what will happen this time.

Mine lasted for about three weeks and I am still having some very light bleeding. I only get it when I try to do too much though. Mine started the very same day I had the c-section. In the beginning it was really heavy but as time went on and I relaxed some, it started to wane.
