Anyone else have one of the Britax recalled carseats?

We do!  Sad  I just noticed that DS has actually bit a little piece of that strap off too!  If you have one of these are you just waiting for the repair kit or are you going to go ahead and take off those straps?  I don't want to make the seat less safe, but I don't want him to bite off a chunk of it and choke either.

    Thanks for posting this! I noticed a few weeks ago that DS bit a chunk out too. I didn't know that there is a recall on it.

    Mine isn't part of the recall but I removed the straps a long time ago.  Only because B didn't reallt fit in the seat with them.  Maybe she has a short torso?  They kept hitting her in the face. 

    I read that it doesn't make it any less safe (especially if you know how to use a carseat correctly), it's just an extra feature that helps ensure proper placement of the chest strap (connector) thing. And adds a little resistance.

    June, yeah!  Google Britax recall and it'll get you to the place to put in all your information.  You'll need to get all the numbers off the label on the side of the carseat.
