I miscarried 2 weeks ago, I was 15 weeks. My water actually broke and about 2 hours later we delivered a tiny perfect baby boy. The placenta delivered about an hour later. We just saw our doctor yesterday and she said the placenta showed that I had an infection, chorioamnionitis. She said most likely this is what caused my water to break. Anyone have experience with this? If so have you later had a healthy pregnancy?

Re: Infection in amniotic fluid
My first pregnancy I had an infection in my fluid. They told me when my water broke with Twin A, the fluid was green.
My son was fine, but sad story, due to being 23 weeks they forced him to come with the higher risk of infection.
I did carry my singleton Zachary to full term with no complications.
And I am currently almost 25 weeks pregnant with twins and so far so good.
I am sorry for your loss.
