S/O on baby monitors (Mottorola 2 camera version)

Where do you have the cameras mounted?  We received the Mottorola monitor with 2 cameras as a shower gift and were playing around with it and it seems we need to mount the cameras high up across the room to get a good view of the whole crib.  Is that true? This may be an issue for us since we don't have an outlet close by on that side of the room.   I guess I thought it would be easy to mount them closer to the cribs, but we only get a partial view of the inside of each crib.  We couldn't figure out how to zoom out further. Maybe we just need to read the directions again, but thought I'd ask since I see from the other post many of you have this monitor and like it.  Thanks!

    We got the Motorola 2 camera monitor and mounted one camera high above the cribs close to the ceiling (cribs are back to back) so that it can see into both cribs at once. We got the cameras which are able to move back and forth so that we can remotely move them to get a full view of each crib. Do you have the ability to move the camera side to side?

    If not, can you mount it in a nearby corner near the ceiling so you can zoom in at least?
