I haven't prepped my diapers yet, and I know you can't use fabric softener on the diapers. However, can you safely use Downey in the wash or dryer sheets in the dryer on your other laundry? Does anyone do this? Or will residue end up on my diapers and wreck them?
Re: Fabric softener ok on your other laundry?
This! I haven't started CDing yet but after I did a little research and found out how horrible fabric softeners are.. I went out and bought some dryer balls. I absolutey love them!
I can't speak for cloth diapers yet, but I haven't used fabric softner in any form in over a year now and the worse thing I get is a little static in my sweaters in the winter but nothing a good shake and on occassion a metal clothes hanger can't take care of -- the rest of my clothes have been fine out of the dryer. I have an old top loader and hard water and I don't use a lot of detergent -- don't know if any of that makes a difference.
