When my alarm goes off in the morning, my dog jumps into bed and snuggles in next to me. I stay like that for about 10-15 min before getting up. I love that snuggle time...

My simple pleasure was waking up to my husband this morning. (We had him home one week in October since he left the beginning of September. He is here until December 1st. He finishes his training and then deploys before Christmas and won't return until next October.)

My simple pleasure makes me sound like an old grandma...nbsp; I have a hot water bottle that I fill before bed on really cold nights.nbsp; I broke it out for the first time a few days ago.nbsp; I tuck it in between the sheetsnbsp;a few minutes before I head to bed and it's delightfully toasty on my toes.nbsp;
Right now, after DH goes to work and before the baby wakes up. I get the quiet house to myself as I drink coffee and cruise the computer. It's marvelous.

I keep an electric blanket under the sheets. It's king size and has dual controllers. I turn it on a few minutes before bed. Since we've had DD, we've turned the heat on before it got to that point so it's not nearly as exciting as it used to be.
Harry Potter movies after dark, snuggled up with DH and a big bowl of stovepopped popcorn.
The way DD works the paci in her mouth after she falls asleep. And the way her arms feel around my neck when she hugs me.
The feel of a horse nose nuzzling the back of my neck on a cold winter morning when the world is still asleep and it's just me and my girls in the barn.
Re: Simple Pleasures
My first sip of a freezing cold Dr. Pepper in the morning. Amazing.
ETA: oh, and a cup of hot tea...mmmm...
I do the same thing.

Also, my MIL picks DD up one afternoon a week. It's the day that DH goes and plays with his friends.
When it started, I dreaded it and used it for an excuse that I was going to clean the house.
Now, I love it. I surf the web and watch law and order marathons.
