Anyone's LO sitting up yet?

Just curious, is anyone's LO sitting up yet? Mine tries and I will sit him up, but he falls right over!

  • DD is just starting to be able to support herself for a couple of seconds at a time.  It's barely noticeable that she can do it, but I expect it will get better and better in the coming weeks.

  • Yes, she'll sometimes sit by herself for upwards of a minute or so but it's not super consistent yet.

  • He's starting to. He likes to lean on his legs with his arms alot. He stayed sitting upright long enough for me to get a picture the other day but hasn't done it that long since. Figure it won't be too long now.

    This is our DS too!
  • DD can sit for a few seconds, and I can see her improving gradually but steadily. Her main issue is that she hasn't figured out that most of her movements just make her topple over. I'm hoping that she'll be much better at it by 6 months, though!

  • DD has been sitting up for almost a month now! She will be 5 months on Saturday and now I can't get her to lay down or do tummy time.  What helped her to sit up was to spread her legs out as far as I could, to give her balance, and now she can completely sit on her own and play with toys.  Even when she starts to fall over she sometimes can regain control and sit back up.  She still makes me nervous so I am always right there on the floor with her.

  • We can sit up, but if he gets excited he'll fall down.  He likes to sit on the couch with us at night so we always put the boppy around him in the front to keep him from throwing himself into the floor.  Photo

  • Yep, DS is sitting really well right now. He was tipsy about a week ago but suddenly can sit unassisted, lean forward, grab things, sit back up, etc.

  • Nope. I try putting her arms down in the tripod position but she just moves them. Just needs a little more strength still.

  • Mine has been able to stay in a sitting position for about 2 weeks now.  She can't sit herself up, but if I put her there, she stays until she decides she wants something that is out of her reach.  She LOVES sitting.

  • My LO started sitting out if no where one day. I mean we always practice but she quickly developed just enough balance and gets better at it every day. She just turned 5 months.
