Intro of new Moms TTC Bay Area

Hi all, I'm posting for the first time here. I've spent weeks reading posts and lurking around to make sure I post the topics in the correct places. A friend recommended I use this board to connect with other LGBT parents. My partner and I have been TTC since March 2012, we've done 4 cycles of IUI, one BFP and then MC at 8 weeks. Trying again this month with Clomid. I'm using and RE (Reproductive Science Center - Bay Area) and have had all the testing/monitoring possible. Trying to surround myself with positive energy and thoughts in this process! I would love to know some other moms in the bay area (we are in Monterey, CA) and get some advice and companionship on this journey! I'm not expecting that there will be anyone in Monterey but we come up to the city a lot.

I'm also posting to see what shows up in the bottom of my post, to see if the "Tell us about you!" was actually and indication for the "siggy". If it was, please excuse the long paragraphs below and I will change my "siggy" as soon as I figure out how!

    ET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Blighted ovum discovered at 7w5d; D&E
    FET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Missed m/c discovered at 9w5d; D&E
    Karyotyping: normal ~ RPL Testing: normal ~ Hysteroscopy: normal
    FET #2: 1 blast transferred 10/25; BFP 10/31!
    EDD 7/13/14 ~ Induced at 37w4d due to pre-eclampsia ~ Born on 6/28/14

    Yes, I would be happy to answer any questions you have about that anytime, here or you can PM me.  There are several couples on the board who did IVF and would also probably be willing to answer questions about that decision or the process itself.

    Thanks to all for all the warm welcomes! It was wonderful to check back this evening and see your posts. I'm very emotional, I feel like Clomid is making me crazy, and this makes me happy to be on this board.

    Clomid is making me cry everyday, and then have times when I feel like breaking something! My wife took me to batting cages yesterday because I have so much aggression... I'd never been before and it felt good. I still feel like punching someone. My wife says I have Clomidia :

    You poor thing. Clomid was the WORST for me. I spiraled into an ugly depression after 2 cycles and went natural for 2 cycles. I got pregnant but miscarried and took a break for about a year. I am now in the 2WW. My RE recommended injectibles with progesterone and while I don't know if I will be lucky enough to get a BFP, it seems more manageable than the clomid. Acupucture has helped me tremendously with the mood madness that comes with TTC. GL to you and my advice is to go more aggressive if possible... injectibles increase your chances quite a bit I think they go from 10% on Clomid to closer to 30% on injectibles. I was terrified initially but it hasn't been a big deal at all. GOOD LUCK! Be gentle to yourself.
    Iui #1 = unmedicated = bfn. Iui # 2 = clomid 50 mg = bfn. Iui # 3 = clomid 50 mg = bfn. Iui # 4 = unmedicated = bfn. Iui # 5 = unmedicated = bfp - miscarriage at 5 wks. Iui #6 = nov 2012 = gonal f 75, endotrim 100= chemical pregnancy/bfn

    Welcome My wife and I are in Sonoma County, CA.  :-)  So not that close - but we're often in the city or East Bay.  I've also started a Meet Up in Sonoma/Marin for LGBT Parents and Parents-to-Be - look us up :-)  It may be a bit far - but who knows :-)

    Anyway good luck this cycle!! 

    I'm sporadically on this board (usually in the evening/night) when the baby sleeps :-) but feel free to PM anytime.
