Cleared for take off!

I went to the RE for baseline labs and u/s this morning and got the all clear to start MDL and stims over the next few days.

My lab results were right in line with the ones from IVF #1, but I had fewer follicles to work with this time.  Last time I had 13: 6R, 7L.  Today I had 10: 4R, 6L.  I asked the nurse if it was age-related, and she said it's more likely just the cycle-to-cycle variation.  The good news is they are all close in size (3-6 mm), so hopefully they will stay close in size during stims.

I start MDL tomorrow morning, and stims Saturday night.  I had been feeling nervous and anxious about everything for the past few days (I'm over a year older and pushing 40 now, it was too easy to get DD with IVF #1, so I'm due for hardship, etc.), but at least for today, I'm feeling optimistic about this cycle.

Good luck to all those further along in their cycles, as well as my cycling buddies.  I hope we see a flood of BFPs on this board in the coming days and weeks!

    Dx: PCOS and short luteal phase
    18 cycles (3 with our RE) - Metformin + Clomid + HCG booster did the trick!
    BFP #1 6/22/09 EDD: 3/2/10 DS born: 3/8/10

    Yippee!  Sounds like great news, cycle buddy!!!  And NO you are not due some hardships...you are doing IVF...isn't that enough!?

    (BTW: now I am worried about my lead follie on each side....)

    What is MDL?   

    TTC#1: 14 months on our own (did HSG, b/w, SA);
    BFP on Cycle 14--TWINS! Identical twin boys stillborn at 19wks(1/9/10)
    3 break cycles; took clomid 50mg, BFP #2 Beta #1 35, Beta #2 338!!! Owen was born 2/11/11! 
    TTC#2: 4 cycles on clomid: BFNs
    BFP #3: Cycle #5 100mg clomid; beta #1 21; beta #2 6=CP 
    Cycle #6 break cycle TTC no meds=BFN
    Cycle #7: 150 clomid+ovidril+IUI=BFN (switched to RE)
    Cycle #8: follistem+ovidril+TI=BFN
    Cycle #9 Forced break due to cyst
    Cycle #10 follistem+ovidril+TI=BFN
    Cycle #11 follistem+ovidril+TI=BFN
    Cycle#12 Forced break due to cyst, went on BCP; did repeat HSG, Saline U/S
