I was just watching Lily wander around the living room and was thinking about all the super cute habits she's picked up lately. I'm sure all the other Oct '11 cuties have some amazingly cute and unique habits, too, and thought we should share some in this thread.

Re: Share the cuteness!
When I read Lily books, I act them out in different ways. She has picked up on this and is now doing the same things when she "reads" herself the books. For example, she now drums on her leg while reading Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb and imitates strumming on a banjo when she gets to that particular page. She also plays around with her lips while reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear (I do that to make the goldfish sound like it's underwater).
Also, one of her new words is "hot" which she says when she's looking at the fireplace or a light. But she will only whisper it and we don't know why, but it's really cute.

DS makes the same little "ah!" noise when you ask him what any animal makes. So we have taken to asking him the most outlandish, obscure animals we can think of.
DS will play peekaboo with anyone, anytime. He makes a noise in the same singsong tone, that does not sound anything like the word peekaboo. I have a theory that he is saying "there he is." But he does it with the cashier at the store, the librarian, people in traffic (even though they can't see him). It is so freaking cute.
Abby waves at everybody and everything now. When we were at the hospital last week, we would walk down the hallways, and she waved at every nurse and doctor that walked by and just smile so big. I think they probably wondered why we were there since she was so happy.
She has also picked up on the inflections in our voice, so in one long "ahhhh" she starts at a high pitch and gradually comes down to a lower pitch. Maybe she'll be a singer??
DS' new word is "Stop!" Our dog is a licker so whenever she starts licking him he always yells "Stop!" It's cute until he tells me to stop when I'm kissing him
He adores music! It doesn't matter what kind of music it is, it could be the saddest and slowest song you've ever heard, he will stop and dance and sing to it. As loud as he possibly can. It's really cute when he sings to Sesame Street!
He also loves to copy our dog, especially when she's got something in her mouth. Their new game is crawling around the house, my dog walking, with something in their mouths.
DD loves animals and cuddles every one she finds be it living, stuffed, hard plastic, or in a book. She met a Newfoundland this weekend and went right up and gave him a hug. She also wanted to hug the horse, but we settled on petting him instead.
When I ask DD what my name is, she presses my nose. No idea why she does this? But it is so cute!
She has a toy that says "Wow!" at the end, so when it comes on she does a little dance and then yells "wow" right before the toy does.
She is also so cute and gentle when she pets the dogs. She also tries to pet flowers and pumpkins.
I taught her what the ghost says (Boo!) and what Santa says (Ho ho ho) and sometimes she mixes them up, which is funny.
Violet tickles...well she is obsessed with tickling. She can say ticka-ticka and she tickles the dog, framed pictures, books, stuffed animals, Nana's butt, strangers in line at the post office.
This girl is a tickle machine.
She also makes animal noises her favorite is the snake.

OCT 2011 Moms BlogDD calls all of her stuffed animals "bear" except she pronounces it "bee-ah". So she wanders around the living room looking for her animals calling "bee-ah" and sounds like she's selling beer at a baseball game in Boston.
Also, instead of picking up dust, dirt, etc. and putting it directly into her mouth, she picks it up and says, "uh-oh" and holds it up in the air for me to take from her. It's really helpful that we don't have to fish in her mouth for dust bunnies any more but my self esteem as a housekeeper is going down hill fast.
Burned by the Bear
All of these stories are making my day!
Anytime DD hands something to me or DH, she'll say "thank you", except it sounds more like "tuh YOOOO".
If she finds my phone within reach, she grabs it and takes off down the hallway at full speed, giggling the whole time.
She's also started walking in circles while bobbing her head to music. Takes coordination I tell you!
P isn't talking either. He says "Mama" and "Dada" but that's about it.
G doesn't talk much either.
I don't think I shared this yet, but we got his progress report from daycare last week. In the comments under social development it said "Gavin is a very friendly child. He always walks up to his arriving friends and smiles, and sometimes strokes them on the head." Soo cute. My kids thinks his friends are dogs!
I also met one of the other moms at the daycare's Halloween party a few weeks ago. She told me that all of the parents love Gavin in the morning (he is usually the first one there). This mom told me Gavin is their "welcoming committee" and that every morning when her son Lucas comes in, Gavin walks up to Lucas and hands him a toy. She said she and her husband have discussions at night about which toy Gavin gave Lucas that morning.
This boy melts my heart and I can't wait for him to talk.
Hahaha so cute!
If you say to L, "Give 'xyz' a kiss" , she not only will kiss said object, but she actually makes the kiss noise, too. Wicked cute lol.
She loves to look through old photos of back in the day. She looks through each one, holds it out in front of her, and makes sure the photo is upright. Then she throws it on the ground.
Everything is either a "puppy" or "baby" to L. So whenever she points to something, she says either one of those two things. Its super funny when she points to something random like the TV or one of her toys and says "puppy!"
*LBB can't say "yum" yet, so when he gets food he really likes he closes his eyes and says "mummmm" instead.
* He gives hugs, especially calf hugs because he's the right height. He runs up to your calf, hugs it, and then starts patting the back of the calf. I think the patting comes from me rubbing his back when I hug him.
* I'm training him to raise his hand and say "me me me" when I ask "who's the baby?" but right now he's just got the hand part down. When I ask, he starts waving his hands in the air.
* He loves helping me in the kitchen. If I say "want to help me make _____" he runs into the kitchen and stands in the corner for me to pick him up. Then he helps pour liquids, put dry ingredients (pasta, cheese, veggies) into the recipe, and stir. This morning he helped me whisk eggs and pour milk for our breakfast.
* He loves to throw himself on soft things, like pillows, or beds. So we took my pregnancy pillow and put it on the floor and covered it with blankets. We call it his "cuddle spot". He'll take a toy or a book, throw himself on it, and then just lay there.
Lincoln will pick up anything within range, hold it to his ear and say "ello!?" It's pretty darn cute.
And he's obsessed with blankets. He'll pile up the family room throws and then dive face first into them, roll around for awhile and then end up with one in his mouth. Rinse and repeat about 3 dozen times a day.
And he's blowing kisses now!
Natalie barks like a dog and exclaims "pup pup" any time she sees/hears a puppy. My new tactic or dealing with her when she's fussing in her carseat is to bark and she barks back haha
She also points out everybody's nose. "Nahs" she says and points to the noses of strangers. She also does this if she's being naughty and I say no. She always tries to do something cute to avoid getting in "trouble."
H taught her to say "ah" after she takes a drink. It's freakin adorable!
She's added a new move to her dancing. A drop it down low kind of move where her bottom almost hits the floor. Sometimes she gets so into it and falls over haha
Desmond likes to help turn the pages of books when I read to him.
He also will say, "mmmm good" or "like it" when he eats food he loves.
He knows the sound of us getting a baby bell cheese from the fridge. When he hears it, he will drop everything and run into the kitchen screaming "cheese, cheese, cheese"!
He will tackle his sister and scream his head off while doing it. It is like he has a warrior call.
E likes to tell big long stories (of gibberish) with lots of hand motions and when she finishes she throws her head back and laughs hysterically.
There is one song on her cd that sounds tropical/reggae and I would always fill the break between lines with "aye-aye-aye". Now E sings it, and she will sing it to any song that sounds tropical/reggae.
DS doesn't walk yet, but he takes steps when we aren't looking. When he catches us watching him he sits down and laughs.
When we say "How big is Bennett?" he raises his hands and laughs (we say "So big!).
He crawls up the stairs lightning fast. He knows he isn't supposed to. He will crawl up a few, yell "mamama" or "dadada" until one of us says "No no!" and then he will laugh and slide back down.
He LOVES when we chase him and tickle him.
He loves his touch and feel books. One is baby animals - he always turns to the picture of the baby chick and pets it with his pointer finger. The other is all puppies. He barks the whole time.
He loves pointing. He points at every light and loves turning on/off light switches and pulling the fan chains.
He sings (not real words or any real tune) in the car and claps when songs he likes come on the radio.
He waves SO cute - he rotates his wrist like a royal wave.
He refuses to sit in the tub so he takes showers. The kid won't walk but he will stand all day.
My favorite: When he is whiny in the car I reach back (over my head - he is still rear facing) and he grabs my hand and just holds it.
