Okay new and trying to not pry...

in Pregnant after a Loss
Okay so my husband and I have been ttc baby #2 for almost 4 years now... We finally got pregnant with baby #2 in October right before Halloween. Unfortunately it ended in a mc at 5 weeks 1 day. So, trying to be optimistic and wanting to start trying again... How long did it take you to get pregnant again? Were any of you doing fertility treatments prior to your mc and did you have to do the same treatment or different treatments after? Just trying to know what to expect... Thanks!

    I had a missed miscarriage in October, was given the go-ahead to try again in January, had a chemical pregnancy in March, and then got pregnant with this one in April.  No fertility treatments here.

    BFP 8/26/11- Missed miscarriage discovered 10/19/11 at 11w2d, measured at 9 weeks gestation w/ no HB. D&C 10/21/11

    We got PG with DS the first month trying. Then with Baby #2 we got PG on our 7th month trying but lost her at 6w. It took 10 more cycles to get PG again. We had thought it would be so easy to get PG because we had no problems getting PG with DS.  We were suposed to start fertility testing 2 weeks after I got my BFP #3. I loved calling to cancel that appointment Big Smile

     BFP on Cycle 17 09/27/12. EDD 06/04/12! Please Stick Baby! A/S 01/22/13 Baby looking great. Officially TEAM BLUE! Jack is getting a Baby Brother! RCS scheduled for 05/29/13. William Daryll born at 9:59am on 05/29/13. Left ovary and tube removed due to peach sized tumor found during RCS. Pathology came back benign!

    I was about to start IUI when I got my BFP...almost 2 years after 1st MC. I did start Prometrium and I take baby aspirin.

    I had a back-to-back m/c and cp in April and May this year.  My Dr had us wait 2 full cycles, so we started trying again mid-July.  We got pregnant again this time on the 3rd cycle of trying.

    Like PP, I also started taking baby aspirin.  My Dr also said my Vitamin D was low so I'm taking drops for that.  I saw (and continue to see) an acupuncturist weekly.

    we were trying for #1, not #2, but here's my info (lots in siggy as well)

    We tried for a year on our own and did not get pg. Our 1st IUI ended in a c/p at 5w3d. It was nearly 8 months before our next c/p (with IVF #1 after 3 more failed IUIs). Then I had an early m/c (5w5d) with our first FET, a c/p the cycle immediately following. Then another couple of months with a 2nd FET (fail) before FET#3 seems to have taken now (I'll be 15w tomorrow).

    TTC #1 Since 4/2010, Cycle 30
    Positive for HLA-B27, I'm a mutant :p
    Testing - Me ok, gluten issue? DH - borderline count, low motility
    4/28/11 IUI#1 = BFP!(5/25), EDD 2/2/12 - m/c 5w3d
    7/3, 7/31, 9/25 - IUI#2-4=BFN
    IVF#1 - 1 blast = BFP!! (12/30), EDD 9/9/12, confirmed c/p 4w2d
    FET#1 3/2/12 - 2 blasts =BFP!! EDD 11/18/12, us#1 = twins! Confirmed m/c 5w6d
    4/20-surprise BFP and another c/p 4w2d
    FET#2 7/16/12 - 2 blasts = BFN
    FET#3 8/20/12 - 1 blast - BFP!! Beta #1-2=177, 354

    It took us 14 months and IVF after our loss (also had a lap, hsg and IUI prior to the IVF jackpot). I wasn't seeking IF treatment prior to our first pregnancy (but should have been) which took 15 months to achieve but ended in a loss.

    IF Dx: Endo, hetero MTHFR mutation, poor morphology
    #1 IUI: 1/18/12 = BFN
    #1 IVF/ICSI 4/2/12 = 2 x 7-cell and 1 x 5-cell transferred (3dt) = BFP!!
    H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!
    #2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14
    M&W born at 37 weeks on 9/18/14 - I am the momma of 3 boys!!!

    It took us exactly one year and one day to get our next BFP after our loss. No tx yet but we were starting to talk about it.

    I got pregnant last Nov, discovered a missed miscarriage at the end of Jan 2012. I had a d&c. I was told to wait one cycle and then we were ttc. I got to know my cycle very well thanks to charting and was taking iron (anemic since the d&c) and vitex when I had a bfp in Sept. I guess it was about 6 months of TTCAL.

    It took us 6 or 7 cycles of actively trying with charting. 
    11/2010 Diagnosed with PCOS 
    10/31/11 M/C at 9 weeks

    We got pg on a half assed charting cycle almost 2 years later.  We had a bunch of TTA and "eh what happens happens" cycles in there on top of 3 failed Clomid cycles.

    It took us a year and a half to get pregnant again.  The first pregnancy was a result of my 2nd clomid cycle, and I had 5 failed clomid cycles (4 failed IUIs), a failed femara cycle, and a failed IVF before this pregnancy.  I'm probably not the norm though.
    Mom to Eliott Alexander, born sleeping at 37 weeks on 8/13/10. Most of us only dream of angels - I held one in my arms.

    We had 2 mc's and we had chromosome testing done after the second. Come to find out on top of me needing progesterone I also had MTHFR and had to take additional folic acid with B6 and B12 and baby aspirin. We did get pregnant right away which was unexpected. Now I'm 35 weeks and he's doing great

    Our first pregnancy took three or four cycles.After our first loss, I got pregnant a whopping 14 days later. After the second loss it took three insanely crazy cycles. Those cycles where the craziest I've ever seen. My hormones were all over the place post mc.

    It took us 4 months the first time, which ended in miscarriage.  After our loss, we waited 3 cycles (per Dr.'s orders) and then it took us 6 cycles of trying to get pg again.  No treatments.

    I'm sorry for you loss.  Everyone is different, so there's really no way to know what will happen for you. Just follow your Dr.'s orders, wait until you're emotionally ready, and then I wish you good luck!!

    It took us 9 months to conceive DD2. My loss was in April (34 wks). My OB gave us the green light to TTC in June, started me on folic acid & told me to continue taking my prenatal vitamin. We got our BFP in July.

    It took us a year to get pg the first time and that was on our first Clomid cycle.  That pg ended in a missed mc.  Once we were able to start trying again our RE recommended the same treatment for 3 months and then we tried injectables for 3 more months which didn't work.  I got pg on our second IUI after I switched RE's which was 1 year after getting pg the first time.

    First I am sorry about your loss. I missed 3 times before concieving this LO. Our last m/c was in January 2012 we decided to go to a RE doctor for tests when I found out I had FVL. We started treatment in March and got pregnant our 2nd round on 100mg clomid, HCG shots, HSG (done in april), baby apsrin and lovenox shots.

     I know some people it takes longer to concieve again and some right away. I hope you get your next LO soon.
