Yesterday he thought he would be home Wednesday maybe. He texted me at 6 this morning. He will be home sometime tonight!!!
16 days is a long time. The number of power outages in NY are still on the high side but most of those are houses that were flooded not tree issues anymore. The flooded houses had their meters removed until after they can be cleaned up. That whole water and electricity not mixing thing.
So most all the out of state guys have been send home. What little is left will be for the local guys.
DD and I are so excited!!!! I had to cancel my plans for today though as all the cleaning and baking I was planning on doing tomorrow now has to be done today. lol
Re: DH is coming home TODAY!!!
He's 45 minutes away! Yay!
I put DD down for a final nap a little over an hour ago so she won't be grumpy for him. Evenings are often grumpy but I don't want her to by grumpy at Daddy his first night back.
I'm slightly bummed as I was going to go do some sale grocery shopping today but didn't. Part of that trip was unflavored gelatin to make edible finger paint. DD was going to "paint" Daddy a welcome home gift. Oh well. It can be a belated gift.

In the 3 days he worked this week, he already made more than twice a normal paycheck after taxes. So he is taking the rest of the week off. His boss told him to just call him when he is ready to work again. So he'll work Mon and Tue next week, vacation day Wed to go hunting then he has off Thanksgiving and BF paid anyway. So he'll get be getting a nice break after so many days and hours on.
He'll have to do some paperwork and truck cleaning and stuff today but that will only take a couple hours.

Good! I was hoping he would get to be home with you, and able to catch up before having to go straight back to work.
Under normal circumstances we are only allowed to donate to people who have medical issues I believe, so it was really cool that corporate made an exception.
