Big decision (NBR)

So my DH got an out of the blue job offer today. Big corporate job, with big salary, big perks. Problem... It's in California and we live in Canada. We have no idea what to think. Obviously this is a huge decision and we don't know where to start on making a decision like this. We currently live in a small city in northern Ontario and would be moving to the big city in California.

also, my DH has two sons from a previous relationship that would definitely be staying in Canada.

For those who have been in this type of situation, can you offer any advice? I know you can't say to stay or go, but how do you decide something like this?

We are freaking out a llittle...

TIA

  • Flip a coin.

Seriously... Flip a coin.  Then your gut will tell you what the right thing to do is.  If you are excited with the result of the coin toss, then you know it's the right thing.  If you are unhappy, you also know what you  need to do.

I was trying to decide whether or not to move to Asia once and someone told me to do that.  It worked great!

let us know how it turn out!

I was thinking this same thing...

when the coin is in the air, you go with your gut as to what you want the answer to be...

then... go with your gut, and not what the coin says. GL!

  • He thought about it but ultimately could not leave his kids behind and I can't blame him for that. Great opportunity but just too far away. Thanks for the advice tho ladies, even though he wouldn't flip the coin, he did do the list.
