I'm not sure if it's because I'm pregnant with twins and have a 3.5 year old, but I am tired All.The.Time! I don't remember being this tired with dd. So, does this get better after the first trimester or does it continue?
My first trimester was so exhausting. I took naps in my car at lunch. My MFM said it is because that is when your body is creating the placentas. My 2nd trimester was great! I had plenty of energy and got everything done that I could. I started getting pretty tired again at 30 weeks. But, I am not chasing any other kids around!
Mine got a little better around 16weeks. It would let up for a day or.two and then it would be back.to feeling like my life.force was being sucked out for a day or two. It stayed in that pattern for q.couple weeks and then.went back.to all lifeforce being sucked out, all the time.
For me, I have been feeling the best I have my entire pregnancy the past 2 weeks. Hoping you find that burst of energy soon. Maybe when you are in the 2nd tri.
It's different for everyone. In first tri I could barely function I was so tired. Then a week or so into second tri I felt like my old self again - I wasn't sick anymore, had a ton of energy, and loved me little baby bump. I continued to feel really good during third tri as well, until I physically got so big that getting around was difficult. I was probably about 35 weeks when that happened.
Saving money while raising more kids than you bargained for!
I got wiped out my first trimester. About 15/16 weeks I felt like I got some of my energy back. Now it's been an up and down patter. When the boys hit a growth spurt I get pretty wiped for a couple of days then I am good to go again. I will say I get tired pretty fast like if I am up and around so I can only imagine chasing a toddler.
Best of luck and just try to take it easy when you can.

I could have written this post myself. Now that I am in my second tri I have days where I feel great, but most of the time I am a bit tired. By late afternoon I am out of energy. Like you, I am chasing my almost 3.5 year-old around and don't get a lot of time to sit and relax. It catches up with me and then I end up feeling really sick and exhausted for a day or two. Today is one of those days. My DD has been watching TV all morning. I only just pulled out her preschool activities.

I'm almost 21 weeks and it has gotten worse for me. I was placed on modified bed rest though and haven't really been able to keep my energy up since. I've only been up 2.5 hours and already feel like I need a nap, ugh.
I have definitely found that the exhaustion got worse. 2nd tri wasn't really an improvement. It was the "fall asleep every time you stop moving" tired, but I could nap on command every time i thought about it. Now I'm just physically shot al lthe time. It'll be nice to get my mind and body back soon!
I have a 2 yr old and pregnant w/ twins as well. I'm like you, I don't think I was ever this tired. It didn't get any better for me, but I'm only at week 24 right now. There are times when I'm in bed and already out by 9 pm! I can't tell if it's the twins, my 2 yr old, or the combination of both.
I didn't get better with me. I was never even remotely this tired with DS1 and DS2. It can be tiring taking care of LOs when you're not pregnant with twins.

It's different for everyone I think. I felt so tired in the first trimester, but kept getting more and more energy. At 38, I'm feeling great (weirdly). I would start taking iron early on and keep (gently) exercising when you feel a little better.
