Maternity Support belt?

I'm thinking I'm going to need one before too long as moving around and stuff is already getting difficult and the pressure in the lower part of my stomach seems to be increasing.

Does anyone have recommendations of what to get, what worked, didn't work for them?  When they felt the best benefit from the support belt started (aka - how many weeks were you when you needed it)?  Or was it just a waste of money?

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

Re: Maternity Support belt?

  • I have the prenatal cradle and it's ok. I have to take it off when I am sitting.

  • I ordered the support tank below just yesterday. So, I don;t know how supportive it actually is but it has pretty good reviews and isn't too expensive. Might be worth a try.

  • I use a It's You Babe Mini-Cradle right now and it's the perfect amount of support.  It's easy to put on/take off and small so you can't see it underneath your clothes.  It mostly helps with my low back pain.  It's $15 on amazon.  I found it true to size (unlike many of the reviewers).  I bought it 3 weeks ago and it's been amazing.

  • I used the prenatal cradle best cradle. I wore it for work starting around 20wks (I think) and lived in it the last 12wks or so. It took so much pressure off my back and pelvis.

  • I used this one from BRU.  It really helped take the pressure off of my pelvis.
