Please Pray For Our Baby Girl!

Hi Ladies, 

I haven't written anything in awhile but just wanted to give you an update on our little girl Callie. When I last wrote, they found a hernia in her diaphragm and we were told we needed to have an amnio to rule out any genetic abnormalities. We did the amnio and THANK GOD it was NORMAL! We now have our big appointment on the 21st at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.  We will find out her final diagnosis and chances of survival. Either way we are having her because she is ours and we need to keep on fighting! Another piece of good news is that her liver is down below her abdomen which from what I have researched, is GREAT news for her to get through this just fine:) We could use ALL the prayers we could get. You girls have been so great to me and I know if you all pray, the big man will listen! THANKS!!

    Praying for your sweet baby girl! I am a NICU nurse, and from what I understand the liver being lower is a good prognosis!! Hope you get more good news when you meet with the docs.

    Your family will definitely be in my prayers. An acquaintance had a little girl earlier in the year with a CDH. It's been a tough road for them, but she is a beautiful little 7month old now. CHOP is supposed to be amazing. I may be travelling there myself if our little girl's CCAM lung defect is severe enough. Wishing you all the best!

    First, I want to congratulate you on your incredible ability to see the positive. I was a NICU nurse as a top children's hospital and can tell you that attitude and energy does wonders not only for you but your precious baby girl. I can tell you that you have a tough road ahead but she sounds like she is a tough cookie already. I can assure you from a nursing stand point CHOP is an amazing hospital. I have heard nothing but good from nurses I know that have worked there and my sister in law has had to take both of her daughters there and also has nothing but good to say and she is picky. Sending big hugs, lots of strength and courage your way. The Angels already are keeping your daughter safe and will continue to be her guardians throughout her life... a very long one at that!

    I have been wondering how you are doing.  So happy for the good news you have gotten so far and T&Ps that things continue on this path.  Your little girl is lucky to have two strong parents who are fighting so hard for her.
