Hello everyone! I'm glad to see some life coming back to this board so I thought I'd intro. My history is in my sig, but the short of it is that I'm 29 with stage IV endo. I certainly don't have the experience and knowledge a lot of you ladies are unfortunate to have, but I do have support to offer. I've hesitated on introducing myself here since I'm kind of in no man's land right now. I'm currently on BCP to help manage the endo...the daily cramping has finally gotten better and a sonogram last month indicated that my ovaries are no longer stuck together. (Not really sure how to process that info. As in were they really stuck together before or just swollen?) I plan on continuing taking BCP until the 1st of the year and then try the old fashioned way after that. I've thought about trying IVF again, but I feel convinced that it won't work and it'll just be more wasted money. Who knows what the future holds though. At this time I'm in a good place and want to be part of a group that doesn't have a revolving door, so to speak. Also, ignore my running ticker lady. She should be sitting in the grass with a big bowl of ice cream. I keep her around in hopes that she'll encourage me, but no luck so far.

My poor husband has to deal with me eating all the ice cream I buy for him and then complaining about gaining weight. He tried getting me to buy ice cream with almonds in it since I'm not a fan of nuts in ice cream, but I managed to power through those almonds and ate it anyway!

Phone consult with CCRM on 12/12/12 - ODWU 1/4/13 - both tubes clear(!) - AFC 24, AMH 3.2, FSH 9.6, LH 5.4, E2 25. DH has high frag rate but improved!
IVF #4 March 2013 CCRM. EP protocol w/ Menopur, Gonal-F & Dexamethasone. ER 3/29 & IMSI, PICSI. 43R 13M 10F 6blasts bio'd. CCS testing reveals 3 normals!!!
FET 5/31/13 of 1 4AA blast - thawed and expanded. 4dp5dt BFP.

3/27/13 - After beta and u/s hell, no heartbeat ever detected. D&C at 9w1d.
6/5/13 - Adopted four new embryos that had been frozen for seven years!

Our trip to the DR was definitely interesting, however it wasnt quite the relaxing and carefree vacation we had hoped for. I guess I had underestimated the amount of poverty there. We went on an excursion around the cities and into the countryside and visited schoolhouses, sugarcane fields, villages, etc. These people live such different lives than we do in the US, and most of their living conditions were deplorable and heartbreaking. It was really hard to relax having the local people wait on us at the resort knowing what kind of terrible conditions they were going back to at home. Children were begging for money, trying to sell us flowers, offering to let us use them as tables to write on at the beach. My heart was broken for them.
The people are so friendly and sweet, the country is beautiful and breathtaking, the beaches were amazing. However, we got hit by hurricane Sandy while we were there, so we only had a few days of sun. It was an experience I wouldn't change for the world, because it was eye opening. But definitely wasn't what we expected.
