Lets Share Recipes!!

All of this "what's for dinner" chat is making me hungry! Choose your favourite recipe and post it below! I chose Beef Chilli! It's super delicious and burns your innards on the way in and out- yikes!

*Try and choose a dinner recipe if you can :)

2 pounds lean ground beef

4 Italian sausage- cut into small pieces

3 (15 ounce) cans red kidney beans, drained

2 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes with juice

1 (395ml) can tomato paste

1 large spanish onion, chopped

3 stalks celery, chopped

1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped

1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped

3 green chile peppers, seeded and chopped

2 tablespoon bacon bits

4 cubes beef bouillon

1/2 cup chili powder

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon dried oregano

2 teaspoons ground cumin

2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco?)

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

2 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon white sugar

1.Heat a large stock pot over medium-high heat. Crumble the ground beef and sausage into the hot pan, and cook until evenly browned. Drain off excess grease.

2.Pour in the red kidney beans, diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Add the onion, celery, green and red bell peppers, chile peppers, bacon bits, and bouillon. Season with chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, oregano, cumin, hot pepper sauce, basil, salt, pepper, cayenne, paprika, and sugar. Stir to blend, then cover and simmer over low heat for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

3.After 2 hours, taste, and adjust salt, pepper, and chili powder if necessary. The longer the chili simmers, the better it will taste. Remove from heat and serve, or refrigerate, and serve the next day. (I always bring it out of the fridge in the morning and simmer it all day long).

Re: Lets Share Recipes!!

  • Brace yourself bitches !

One box Betty Crocker- Red Velvet cake mix

(Follow instructions for adding eggs, oil, water? whatever else goes into this mix)

    Mix

Eat copious amounts of raw batter

Place the remaining batter in cupcake tray

    Put them in the oven

    Bake accordingly

Take them out of the oven

You can wait until they are cooled down a bit, but I usually want to stuff my face with cupcakes post haste- so I frost them while they're hot with

    Betty Crocker Cream Cheese frosting

    Enjoy :)

Sounds delicious. I love my chili recipe because it is very simple and convenient. However, I would like to try something like this with more layers of flavor.

I will have to add one of my recipes tomorrow. If I try to write out something off the top of my head right now, I will be sure to miss some key step or ingredient.

  • crockpot beef stroganoff:

ingredients: 2 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 pkg mushrooms, 1 container sour cream, 1 pkg of lipton onion soup mix, 1 bag of egg noodles, 1lb of sirloin steak meat

    in crockpot:

dice up sirloin meat into cubes or strips, slice mushrooms(wash of course), add 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and 1 can of water, add lipton soup mix, cook on low for 6-8hrs.  Half hour before serving add in your container of sour cream.  Mix in well getting all lumps out.  Serve over egg noodles (I use whole wheat egg noodles).

Yum!! And super easy (which is my favorite part)
