I saw your post below...I'm not on the boards much. This sounds exactly like my 6 mo DD. She spit up 12 times within 4 hours of one 6 oz bottle. Its very common and large amounts. Sometimes very sour/chunky and mucousy.
Upper Gi showed reflux, but nothing else. I finally had an abdomal Xray done, which was ordered by a Ped GI specialist. She found out DD was SOOO constipated. I had no idea since she has a BM every day. Turns out she is really backed up even though she is going daily. The spitting up was worse the more full her intestines were, because there was no where for the food to go and it was sitting in her belly just rotting basically.
I have a follow up today with the GI to make an action plan, but over the weekend they told me to clean her out with prunes, apples and pears. Seems to be helping already!
Good luck!

Interesting... We haven't started fruits yet... but we have been on veges for 2 months now... so maybe next week we will start... maybe start with the prunes...
this totally makes sense... although, when they did the radiation scan, they said that his stomach releases into the GI tract pretty quickly, and there were no obstructions... but, Im now wondering if there is some blockage happening further into the GI tract... and they didn't wait long enough to track that part...
Thanks!!! Ill have to talk to the pedi about this...
Her Upper GI went fine too, because it was in the morning and her intestines had "rested" all night, so her stomach drained quickly too. I did the abdominal xray later in the afternoon, after breakfast and lunch and 3 bottles and it was very obvious on the xray!
Good luck. Its really hard to watch them spit up so much!
