Quick question for all of you ladies that have registered already....how many items did you put on there? And did you stop putting things on there after a certain age of the baby?
I tried to put things on there to last from birth up until 6 months, but not sure if I should have gone to a year?
Re: Registry
I went up to 6 months. Most registry guidelines say 12 months but that is so much stuff. I think 6 months is a good mark as it keeps your registry with plenty of price points without seeming greedy.
Also the rule of thumb I used with my registry is was it something I was going to focus or worry about buying before the LOs arrived. If it wasn't I left it off.

I'm not sure I'd say we have an age range, since we didn't bother registering for much in the way of clothing, just a handful of onesies from ThinkGeek. We figured enough people would be excited to buy little girl clothes that there wasn't munch sense in putting anything on the registry. But everything we have on there is something we'd at least *start* using within the first 6 months.
The invitee list for the shower is pretty long (I think around 50 people), so I have about 100 items on there in a variety of price ranges. I'm keeping on eye on it, because if all of the less-expensive things start getting bought up, I'll probably add some of the inexpensive "we were planning on buying this ourselves" type of items, just so people have options.
