Nanny Holiday Bonus?

Hello all!

This is our first time for us and I'm wondering what you guys are planning to do for either your day care providers or nannies? Our nanny is TRULY amazing in every way and honestly we're getting her for a steal (we even ended up paying her more monthly than she originally asked for.) That being said I don't want to make her uncomfortable with the wrong gift or amount of money.... Any advice?

    If you can do it 2 weeks pay is what is recommended.  But usually that is a lot of money.  Not sure what you pay her but $100 or $200 is great bonus for Christmas.  I was a nanny for years and anything extra was great for Christmas :)

    Thanks for the replies! Yes, we were considering $500 which is two weeks pay.

    Many thanks for posting this as I was wondering as well. Initially I was going to do one week's pay ($600), but seeing your responses (and the fact that she isnt working Christmas week since my office is closed), maybe Ill bump it up to $1000...or is that waaay too much?
