Two Saturdays ago my love was in a motorcycle accident. He was on life support until last Wednesday. He had severe brain injuries and a broken neck and back. He wasn't driving recklessly or speeding. I am 6 months pregnant and have no idea how I am going to go on. Has anyone out there lost their spouse while pregnant? I feel so alone and lost.
Re: I lost my fiance.
This is so tragic. I have not experienced such a loss during a pregnancy and I hope you have supportive, loving friends and family to see you through this and through the birth of your baby. You should also let your OB know because your health is so important and you are vulnerable while grieving.
My sincerest condolences. Just take care of yourself and take it one day at a time.
I am so sorry for your loss.
I don't see anything like this on the Bump, but maybe a more specific support group would be helpful right now?

I am so sorry for your loss. I really am. I will pray for you. I am really sorry.
First I want to say, I am so sorry for your loss.
I know what it's like losing a fiance but not while pregnant. We had a daughter together and he passed away from a heart attack at the age of 26. Our daughter was 15 months old at the time.
I know you feel lost now and you will for many months to come but in all honesty, you have a precious baby that will need you and will keep you strong. If it wasn't for my daughter, I would have crawled in a hole and died myself. Children truly keep you sane and strong.
I know nothing anyone says is going to make you feel better and being around people may not be on the top of your list of things to do, but please surround yourself with supportive people. I would also contact your OB if you haven't already and talk to her about everything and she may refer you to a grief support group.
I know it isn't fair hun but try and take care of yourself and that unborn baby of yours, of his. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Seconding this recommendation -- I had the privilege of meeting Matt Logelin about a year ago, his story, and the foundation he created in memory of his late wife, are so real, compelling, and relatable.
