My son was born at 30 weeks via emergency csection due to HELLP. My husband and I want to celebrate his actual birthday just as a family of 3 together, because we were not together when he was born as I was under general anesthesia. And we also want to celebrate his coming home/due date birthday in January as just the three of us. Any ideas as to how we can do that. He will be 12months actual/10 adjusted on Friday!
Thanks so much everyone!
Re: 1st Birthday (actual & adjusted)
congratulations on his 1st birthday! I think it is great that you want to do something special for just the 3 of you for both occasions. We plan to celebrate my daughters coming home anniversary in a special way too... just not sure how yet.
For her actual birthday we celebrated just the three of us with cupcakes followed by a trip to see my daughters nighttime primary nurse in the NICU where we dropped off cupcakes for the nurses and about 100 books to donate to the babies. For us it felt really good to spend the quiet afternoon together and then do something that evening to "give back"
can you do something for the "first time" together? Go to the zoo, go on a short roadtrip, etc
