Those that are CD'ing and plan to or already using Rockin Green...
Do you like it? Do you use it on just CD's or other baby loads or even all laundry? Where do you buy it?
I was looking at buying it off Amazon today but wanted to get some feedback since there always seems to be such mixed reviews...
I've been torn between just using All or Tide Free & Clear on all baby loads except CD's, and then was strongly looking at Allen's Naturally detergent too... I feel like there are just too many options for washing all baby items. (FWIW, I have an HE frontload washer)
ETA: I know this may be a better question for teh CD board but thought I might get some input from MoM's since the number of loads we will/are doing is double!
Re: CD'ing - Rockin Green Users
I used tide original for a few moths, but wasn't happy with it. We had stink issues & build-up. We switched to Rockin green classic rock & I love it. I've used it with both a front loader and top loader & it works well for us. My diaper stash is mostly BG 4.0's but I have a few natural fiber diapers as well. I do diaper laundry every other day and a bag of Rockin green will last me 6 weeks or so.
I only wash diapers with it, but I'm sure it would be fine for clothes too.
I really think it depends on the kind of water you have. I use Charlie's Soap (started with Tide free and clear but had buildup/stink issues after a few months) and I like that it's cheaper than Rockin' Green. However, when we are at my parents while MH is deployed or out to sea for long underways I like to use the Rockin' Green. Eventually I figured out that since they have well water (very hard well water) the Charlie's just does nothing for the buildup and my diapers stink like crazy. Rockin' Green fixed that. At my house (city water, neither hard nor soft) both work just fine and I just go with Charlie's because it's cheaper.
If you like scents, Rockin' Green is nice because you can get a lot of fragrance options. I usually just go with their unscented though.
I've had no issues with Tide Powder. I have been told not to use Free and Clear on CDs, though. I don't remember why, I think it had to do with buildup issues.
I have all Kawaii pockets.
