xp: +OPK tonight, SA scheduled for tomorrow - Help! (long)

DH is supposed to have an SA tomorrow. We are prepping for IVF as soon as January or February depending on cycles. This could be our last month of TTC on our own, our last chance to get a miracle.

Just now I got a + OPK. I tested this morning also, and the OPK was negative. Sometimes, I do get a false LH surge, and I don't really O with that first + OPK. I'll go back to getting negatives, and then I'll get a string of positives days later and actually O. Usually, if it's a fake +, the surge will be really brief, and when I'm really going to O, it'll be 2-3 days of +. This does not happen every cycle, but often enough. Also, this is only CD10, so definitely early for O'ing - I typically O around CD16.

So, I'm looking at three options -

-Have sex tonight because of the +OPK and reschedule the SA. (You have to abstain for 3-5 days prior to the SA). DH would still go to his appointment tomorrow for blood draw.

-Wait and see if the OPK is still + tomorrow, if it's not, then it was probably the 'fake' LH surge. If it's still +, have sex then, and DH still skips the SA part. If it's -, then DH does the SA.

-Or don't have sex assuming this is a fake LH surge and just do the SA like scheduled.

Any thoughts? Typing it out, I'm leaning towards wait and see what the OPK says in the morning, although I'd hate to not BD tonight and miss O. Argh.

Also, how long does it take to get SA results back? Would we even have time for him to get it completed after O this cycle?

    Tough call, I think I'd have sex tonight and delay the SA a few days. I would think you could still have time in the 2ww for him to test and get the results back so you could start your meds for the next cycle in case tonight doesn't work.
