32 & 5 day twin boys were born!

Hi all!

 My boys were born on 11/6 at 32 & 5 days by emergency C Section due to preeclampsia. They are both in the NICU and progressing very well! One boy is already in an open crib and the other is still on 1 liter of air room flow. Hoping to get them home very soon!

 Does anyone have NICU stories to share regarding 32 week twins?

    Welcome. I have twins that were born at 33 weeks because of having pre e too. They came home after a months NICU stay and have been doing great. My DS has some minor delays in areas but nothing that he won't catch up with in time. After the intial stress of the NICU the hardest thing for me is not being able to take them out much besides dr appointments.

    How are you feeling? Between being pregnant with twins and getting pre e it kicked my butt big time! My advice is to accept all of the help that is offered to you! I don't know how I would have gotten through the first month without all the help we had from our family.

    ETA While in the nicu they had issues with Bradys, desats, bilirubin, high blood sugar levels, and feeding issues. The Brady episodes is last hurdle we kept facing before we were able to bring them home.

    Congrats and welcome!  That is awesome that one is already in an open crib!

    While I don't have twins, my son was born at 32 weeks and would be happy to try and help in any way I can!

    I'm feeling great! Just spending long days in the NICU and that wears me down but it's for my boys. Tomorrow they are 34 weeks and we start bottle feeding! I hope it goes well so we can get them home. My NICU gradually increases the bottle feeds instead of doing all 8 in one day. How did your bottle feeds at your NICU work?

    Congrats and Welcome! My twin girls were born at 34w4d. They were in the NICU for 4 weeks. They have been home for 2.5 weeks now and are doing great. They were doing awesome when they were born and basically in the NICU as feeders/growers. Hope your boys aren't in there too long.
