Tired mommy

Hi ladies  I'm looking for some words of encouragement here...  DD is 13 months old and I'm 22 weeks pg.  I'm feeling so run down and sad that I don't have the energy to keep with DD right now.  She has been acting up lately and I feel responsible for not paying as much attention to her since I've been feeling sick again because of the pregnancy.  I am working full-time now, but once DS arrives I will be home with both of my babies which I'm really looking forward to although I know this will be difficult too.  Words of encouragement from mommies who have been through this?  TIA.

Re: Tired mommy

  • HUGS! I've been there. DS1 and ds2 are 15 months apart then ds2 and ds3 are 20 months apart. It's rough being pg with a little one. I felt so guilt when I was pg with ds2 but I just tried to do the best I could. The good part is they won't remember this time. DS1 is a very loving happy little boy at 3 years old and doesn't remmber that I couldn't take him to the zoo or to the park all the time at 13 months old. I did try to do little things like pick some books that we could read from the couch or just sit with him and watch mickey mouse.

All of this! I have two girls, 11 months apart, and one on the way. DD2 and DC3 will be 26 months apart. It is hard, but it is okay. Like Daisy said, they won't remember. They know we love them! Just do the best you can.

  • Thanks!  I am feeling a little better today since my cold is finally going away and I'm getting some energy back.  And DD was happy today, so that made my night.  :)

  • I am in the same boat. DS is 13 months and I am 12 weeks pg. I am also working 3 days a week and going to school the other two. By the time I get home I just want to relax but DS wont have it. He is starting to realize things are changing. At this point he wont let me sit on the couch, I have to be on his level (which means sitting on the floor) otherwise he throws a complete temper-tantrum. Sometimes even if i'm on the floor with him it doesn't cut it. But I just try to remember that he's adjusting too, and that we will all get through it and that it will be worth it in the end. :) So I guess my advice to you, is just breathe and take it one day at a time.
