VBAC

Anyone VBAC w/ GD?

I had GD with DD and they were talking induction if I hadn't gone on my own before 40wks but I've heard doctor's don't like to induce VBAC's....

Successful VBAC with GD.  My GD was diet controlled.  My OB also talked about induction if I didn't go naturally by 40 wks.  The plan was to try induction only if I was favorable, depending on LO station and how much I was dilated.  If it was not favorable it would be a RCS.  We even scheduled the RCS just to be ready.

LO came naturally at 38 weeks.  GL!

Pretty much all of this except my DD arrived at 37 weeks Big Smile

  • I had a successful VBAC with undiagnosed GD at 39 weeks and had a 10lb7oz baby girl. then I had another VBAC with diagnosed GD-diet controlled (no one ever talked about induction, though since I had big babies I agreed to a c/s if I went past my due date because I was scared of induction).  At 39 weeks my water broke, and I ended up being induced since I never went into labor.  I was very scared of induction, but my 9lb5oz DD was born only 1.5 hours later! Doc said as long as my babies are under 11lbs, he doesn't mind going naturally, and no one ever mentioned induction due to GD. Good Luck!  My advice...be strong and face fear with wisdom and education...and a really good, supportive doctor.
  • I had GD with my second, diet controlled. He was a vbac at 41w2d. Induction was not an option with my OB.
