There is a petition going around for Texas to secede from the Union. It already has over 20,000 signatures. Twenty other states have also filed petitions.

This is ridiculous.

If Rick Perry becomes "President" of Texas, I am getting the h ell outta dodge.

Is idaho on the petition? I wouldn't be surprised if it was. They tend to do everything that is not in the citizens best interest.

People need to brush up on their history. The last time Texas seceded from the nation it was one of the worst time Texas history, hence the reason it did not last. Here's what I think of this stupidity-

I agree with this AND I am a republican who voted for Romney. Obama isn't the anti-Christ and I highly doubt his main goal is to take America out...I STRONGLY believe that the president, regardless of party affiliation, should be respected. Publicly disrespecting the president is UN-American.

I agree with you ladies. MT is one of the states that has a petition out for this as well. Sadly I have several friends and family that signed it.
I also think this whole thing is disrespectful to the many men and women who have fought and to those that lost their lives for the freedom of ALL Americans.

The crazy Republicans are making the sane ones look bad. What Republicans should be doing at this point is strengthening their party in our country (not threatening to start their own) and finding a candidate for the next election who is more likely to get elected. Four years really isn't a long time in the grand scheme of things.
