Looking back at this week's lunches, I see a lot of tomatoes and cucumbers. I need to get a little more variety at the store this week!
"Along came Mr. Alligator, quiet as can be ..." My favorite this week! I've had this cookie cutter (from ::gasp:: Walmart) for a long time but never used it. I love the alligator teeth. On the left is a monkey pick with cheese chunks, dried mango (separated with silicone to keep it dry), PB/honey sandwich and Snapea Crisps. On the right are tomatoes, Goldfish, sandwich and cucumber chunks. Snap!
Bird nest. I liked this one too - colorful and lots of variety. There are two mini PBJs (which she's much more likely to eat than one larger sandwich) topped with a cheese bird. There are a few gummies in a silicone suitcase, a "nest" with Wheat Thins on the bottom and pretzels & tomatoes on top, a mini apple, cucumbers and some deli ham. This was packed in a Tupperware sandwich keeper, which is tall enough to fit the apple. I put a piece of food paper on top to keep everything in place.
And now for the not-so-cute ones!
Pig. I think his snout is too small or something. Anyway, there's a ham & cheese (heh) sandwich, tomatoes, cucumbers, crackers (separated by silicone), dried mango and a piggie container of dried cherries. There was also a sidecar of watermelon. This was a lot of food so I was surprised when it came home almost empty.
Dinosaurs! I colored a Kiss to look like a volcano, then there's two dino nuggets, cheese (with bone picks, but they're hard to see) and Wheat Thins, kiwi, cucumbers and tomatoes. I always include a pick when I pack kiwi, since it's so slippery.
Re: Cute lunch check-in
Very cute and inspiring! Great job! What a great mom!
I don't have any pictures to share this week. I am going more for "just eat" than "eat this because it's cute"... because DS isn't eating enough at school and comes home starving. Okay, I am am beat and lacking creativity! So thanks again for the inspiration, I needed that!
