New to clomid

Hey everyone...I'm new to the board and clomid. What's everyone got to tell me about it? I'm currently finishing this cycle I'm on day 26 without clomid but have been monitored for 4 cycles. I will most likely start clomid late November early December. I'm nervous and have only heard horror stories. Any advice about it would be welcomed! Why does it have to be so hard the second time around....

    Welcome! Clomid worked for me the first time i used it and I am so thankful for it giving me my DS.  I went back on it for 4 more cycles TTC #2 with no luck.  My experience with it is hot flashes and mood swings.  Its not that bad that I would call it horror stories but I did seem to notice the more cylces I did the more the side effects would kick in.  I could feel myself being mean and I hated it but it also made me aware of it so I would always apologize and try to control it.  Best of luck and I hope your stay is short.

    I think everyone's clomid experience is different. I just finished medicated cycle 2 clomid and progesterone. The worst symptom I had was hot flashes though I have heard of those who had the clomid crazies. Good luck to you!

    Clomid worked for me on our 3rd month on it. I took mine in the evening, I was a bit cranky while on it...but mostly the night sweats were my biggest complaint. I did have triplets, so I would make sure you keep being monitored. Good luck!
