It's official... Brooke is done breastfeeding. I offered it to her today before a nap and she didn't go for it. Tonight before bed, she fell asleep before I could even try.
Good for you.nbsp; Violet only lasted 9 months, Oliver was a boob man, I cut him of at 16 months.nbsp;
lol at the boob man.
I thought she would never wean and I was ready months ago. ; My mom thinks I should be sad about it or something. Heck no, I got my boobs back! Until May...
::jealous:: we are working on weaning right now. Did you feel any hormonal withdrawals?
And congrats!
Best of luck. It's hard to say since I'm pregnant and anything I think could be weaning hormones could also be pregnancy hormones.
All in all, I can't say it was bad. It happened over the course of a month and half. Sometime in mid-September, she slowed down and we started milk instead of formula (which she apparently loves). She started sleeping through the night, so those middle-of-the-night feedings dropped. Then the morning, then lastly, the before bed nursing.
The way I dropped the night feeding was to start giving her a bottle first, then the breast. So she was pretty full from the milk then just suckled to relax. Now, I give her a bottle, turn the light off, and she lays down in my arms and chills. It's kind of nice. I like that she is relaxed there and doesn't need the boob. Then I put her in bed, she whines a few minutes and she's out.

Sh was definitely ready.
So I usually lurk at night when DD WAS sleeping early and plusalso I am always on my phone it wasn't until I saw that you mentioned May and you saying you were pregnant that I realized, you were pregnant. : Congrats!
I see it took awhile so I'm in for the fight. She eats alot so it's mostly for comfort as well. I have just begun the bottle before bed and hope we get the same success as you. Thanks!

13 months. : YAY!
YAY for 13 months! I just weaned this weekend too, we were down to one feeding a day and we missed it Friday night, then Saturday night. He didn't seem to care and hasn't seemed to miss it! I wasn't planning on stopping this weekend, so I am a bit on the sad side, but it had to happen adventually.
