Ellaroo Wrap FTM

I researched a little and decided to register for the Ellaroo wrap. I'm a FTM and really hope to wear my LO from birth through the toddler years. I was also looking for something breathable because we're in TX. I've read this wrap can accomodate and I'm excited to get started! It's just a long woven piece with Guatemalan fabric. (Which is cool because Guatemala is the first time I got to see how great children react to being worn! The little boy I got to know would tap his mom on the shoulder when he was feeling sleepy so she could load him up. He loved it! And in the village I was in, they wore almost exclusively on their backs.)

I've been practicing a little on getting a few of the NB positions wrapped with the help of YouTube and it's not bad.

Do any of you have experience with this wrap? Also, a more specific question: how do I go about breaking in this wrap? Can I just wash it a few times? Do you have tips on care?

I really love Ellaroos with wee ones in particular - and they are really beautiful

. Definitely wash it! They are pretty rough and stiff new but will get nice and soft with lots of love. I'd wash it a few times (I actually machine dry mine on delicate as well). I would wash on delicate too because of the fringe. Ironing it, sitting on it, using it as a blanket, braiding/knotting it - all of those will help soften it up a bit to get it ready for newborn action
