Hi, this is like the fifth time this week that someone has said something to me about the world ending December twenty something and me either being in labor or not getting to meet my baby cause the world is ending blah blah...i know they are kidding but its really stupid and i just dont know how to respond anymore without being a total bi&^%. End Rant.

Re: End of the world rant...
I'm not trying to start any religous debate here or anything but I have heard this a few times too. My response is, I believe what the Bible says, no one knows when the last day will be. So, I will be seeing my baby when baby is ready.
I hate that some people just have to make comments that are just not necessary!
Act completely surprised. "What?? I had no idea!".
The "world" will not end on December 21st. People can be so stupid.
My students have all decided that my kid will be the messiah/savior if he or she is born on December 21. It's kind of strange, but I just laugh it off because really, what do you say to that? I guess I'd rather hear that than "too bad you won't get to meet your baby because the world is gonna explode."
My EDD is Pearl Harbor Day. I've actually had people tell me, "Oh, you don't want to have your baby then, that's such a depressing day." I'd love to know what they'd actually suggest I do to prevent that from happening.
Personally, I think it'd be kind of cool to have your baby on December 21. Some people say the world is going to end, but the main theory, as far as I know, is that it signifies some major shift in our world, which could be good or bad, but it isn't necessarily the world exploding and everyone going poof. Not that I think my kid is going to change the world or whatever, but it's better than hearing people say "it's too bad your kid was born on one of the most depressing days in history."
This is priceless.
Yeah, we've heard several comments about our "Armageddon Baby".
YES! We all died and it was horrible!!!! And the women who gave birth on December 31st 1999 never got to meet their children because we all died!!!!
That happened, right?
Meh, comments really don't seem to bother me.
I'd probably say something smart-arse like, "Yeah, those other 3 times they said it was going to end panned out well, didn't they?"
