Late Term and Child Loss

Decided on our angelversary celebration

DH and I talked about what we are going to do on baby Gary's birthday (Dec. 14) this year.  It's a Friday so we're both going to take it off from work.  We plan to get our memorial tattoos that day.  We'll also visit the cemetery and bring flowers for our little man.  That evening we're having both of our families and a couple close friends to the house for dinner and cake.  We're planning to put in a memorial garden in the spring, so each person is going to make a mosaic stepping stone in honor of baby Gary to make a path through the garden.  I'm so excited for this!  It means so much to have the whole family together celebrating the short time that our son was with us, even though only DH and I got to meet him.  No point to this post... just wanted to share.

  • That sounds wonderful! I'm excited to hear about it after it happens! You'll have to post pictures of the garden in the spring!

  • That sounds really nice. I'm glad you have a plan for the day. As difficult as it is, it is nice to have something to look forward to that we can do for our children.
