Castor oil on skin

Is it OK to use castor oil on your skin while pregnant?  I know it is often ingested to induce labor, but what about using it as a poultice or cleansing oil externally?

    I wouldn't think so, because the fact that castor oil is a laxative when taken orally is what would trigger labor.
