I posted this in the shower section but I feel like since this is a multiples board you guys might have some more ideas.
I have been asked to pick out my shower cake and I can't find any ideas for twin girls. Theres "thing 1 and thing 2" but I haven't found a cute one I like. Do you ladies have any ideas or can you share what your cake looked like for your shower? there isn't a theme or anything like that so any ideas or thoughts are welcome. The shower is on 12/8 so I do have a little time.
Thank you
Re: cake
This was ours:
My shower was yesterday and my friend had cupcakes made to match the theme/colors each with a little toothpick/designed insert (not sure what to call them)...
She displayed it in a cupcake tower so it looked like a 3-tier cake.
I thought it was adorable!
i thought this was was really cute, obviously you can change the colors

for some reason I can't attach a pic of my shower cake, but it was 3 tier with 2 teddy bears on top (because I'm having b/g twins, one bear had a blue bow tie and the other bear had a pink bow on her head). Each tier was stripes or polka dots in pink, blue and brown. At the bottom of the cake was fondant pink shoes and fondant black hockey skates (we are big hockey fans). There was also a little fondant plaque that said "miracles come in pairs."
My Aunt did a thing one thing two cake that she ordered from a bakery in her local town. They did an amazing job. I cannot get a picture to upload but it was two tiers with the bottom tier red and top blue with white seuss style stripes on both. They also had made topper out of sugar that was amazing. The boys names were scripted on top. I could not believe how nice it turned out.
It was rather boyish but they went with our nursery theme which happens to be red and blue with splashes of Seuss.
