So Ky has always been a biter. She goes through stages where she stops and then suddenly from no where she will start again. Well now she has started to bite and hit....if someone has a toy she wants she takes it and bites/hits when she doesn't get it. She even just hits for no reason. I know she is two but seriously this has got to stop. She cannot be that kid at daycare.
We were supposed to go swimming today and now I am not taking her. I cannot get a phone call from daycare that she has bit FOUR times today and still take her someplace fun. I know she may not get that but I am out of idea. She never bites at home anymore. She does not hit but she also does not have other two year olds to compete with.
Any suggestions/comments/thoughts welcome. It seems like jsut the last two weeks I am hearing more bad than good at pick up time...
Re: Help....two attitude.
Yes the only issue is she never bites in front of me anymore unless she gets extremely frustrated. It has only started picking back up at her sitter's house. Also she will just bite randomly...with no provocation
We had this issue with Gray until he was about 4y. Just be consistent, use appropriate discipline (2m of time out, etc), help her name her feelings, etc. Gray rarely did it in front of us, but would bite Carter if we weren't looking (seemingly no provocation), and did it in PK4 1x (they threatened to expell him. Ahem.) Thankfully at that point, he was older and really understood the consequences.
Of course, now he kicks. Sigh.
