3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays? Mostly primitive, but a mish-mash of ornaments we've collected over the years. I used to do a blue/silver tree but collected so many primitive ornies that I started doing 2... until last year when I didn't even have the gumption with a 2 month old to put up one tree!
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind?I love love love Christmas Music, my favorite right now is a toss up between Josh Groban's Noel, or Casting Crowns Christmas Cd. My all-time favorite is Bing Crosby's White Christmas CD. Love Love LOVE Christmas music.

Christmas

With family. Seeing the lights, going to church, signing carols, gingerbread cookies, decorating.
3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays?
Lights, decorations, our tree is a mix of everything, nativities, we love Christmas around here.
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind?
Love Christmas music!! James Taylor, Michael Buble, Zooey Deschanel, the Fray. I usually just Pandora it.
2. What are your favorite ways to celebrate? For Christmas - lots of alcohol. It's the only way to get through it with my inlaws. Before we head up, DH and I like to decorate our tree while drinking hot chocolate and watching Christmas movies. We've been doing the Jingle Bell 5k for the past few years which has become part of our tradition.
For Channukah, we have a family party with my family and eat latkes.
For New Years, we go on a weekend away and have a fancy dinner and drink lots of champagne.
3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays? We have several menorah which we set out and the tree. We always get a real tree the weekend after Thanksgiving and decorate it with colored lights and fun ornaments.
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind? I LOVE holiday music! All kinds. I inherited all my dad's Christmas cds, because he loved holiday music too. So I have about 500 songs on my playlist and add more each year. I love the classics, funny Christmas songs, modern takes on old standards, pretty much everything.
2. What are your favorite ways to celebrate? Most of our family traditions before we started dating went out the window. We get a tree from the same tree farm every year . Christmas morning is at SO's parents and later that day we go to my parent's house. Once Gator is a little older we would like to do Elf on a Shelf and do a different activity daily read story, watch movie, bake cookies, donate gifts, etc from Dec 1 to the 25th.
3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays? White lights and the Target lime/teal/red/fuchsia decorations.
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind? I love holiday music! Funny thing is I don't actually own any holiday music. I like the old school kind...the originals. I also like Michael Buble Christmas songs!

2. What are your favorite ways to celebrate? Decorate the first weekend of December with nothing on but Christmas music, Bake cookies on Christmas Eve for Santa, Christmas day with the whole extended family listening to music eating and opening presents
3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays? Most of our ornaments are specific to our family or ones we have gotten as kids in the past, otherwise just basic decorations like garland with lights, a few figurines or decorative plates and pillows
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind? Yes, a lot of instrumental and "soft" male voices (e.g., Michael Buble, James Taylor)

2. What are your favorite ways to celebrate? I love decorating the house, breaking out my Christmas-y candles, baking cookies and spending lots of time relaxing with family.
3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays? This is the first year DH and I have had a house and not an apartment (yay!) so we'll be putting some white lights up outside, a wreath on the door, and some candles and other decor around the house. We'll decorate our tree with colored lights and ornaments. We use a mix of classic ball ornaments and old family ones.
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind? Sometimes. I tend to get a little tired of Christmas music since it's all you hear on the radio and in stores for months now. However, I do like some of it. Some artists whose Christmas music I like include Josh Groban, Mariah Carey, Elton John, Faith Hill and others.

3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays? Currently my tree is dark, deep red and gold. I do garland over the mantle with stockings. I love snowmen.

3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays? I don't go crazy. Wreath, mini trees in urns out front, I hung Christmas balls from my chandelier with ribbon before it was a "thing" on Pinterest, garland on the banister, candles, a tree. Not sure what we'll do with a busy toddler in the house and ornaments though. I love "pretty" ornaments, like crystal ones or blown glass with pretty painted and glittery designs. Our tree is a hodgepodge of ornaments, everything from craft ornaments I made in 3rd grade to expensive Swarovski ornaments. I side eye constructed "theme" trees. IMO, the point of a Christmas tree is sentimental and not about a ton of matchy matchy decorations. But I digress.
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind? I'll put the holiday music channel on the TV in the background, but ditto pp who said that years of working retail seriously deadens one's passion for Christmas tunes. [;]

Christmas, although we are not religious.
2. What are your favorite ways to celebrate?
We will cut down a tree from a local tree farm after Thanksgiving and decorate while listening to Christmas music. We do a progressive Christmas dinner with MH's family and we spend Christmas Eve and morning with my family. Christmas Eve we always have a big dinner, decorate cookies, and exchange Christmas Eve gifts (pajamas, etc.). MH's family does a late X-mas morning brunch.
3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays?
We do white lights on a big fat tree, with a mish-mash of random ornaments (mostly ones from my childhood or ones we've been given). I like cute, handmade, or folksy looking ornaments. And I love birds! Outside we do a wreath and lights. Inside we have some handmade looking decorations, signs, etc.
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind?
Yes, but I'm not a huge fan of the classics. I prefer something a little different. In general I listen to rock, alternative, and soft indie stuff. My favorite x-mas CD's I already have are Jack Johnson's Christmas compilation, and Hotel Cafe's Winter Songs (with Ingrid Michaelson, etc.).
2. What are your favorite ways to celebrate? Being home and sipping cocktails, hot apple cider and cocoa. Watching holiday movies and cartoons. Sitting on our deck all bundled up with a fire.
3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays? We do a Christmas tree with nature inspired decor. All greens and coppers, and shades of browns and our ornaments are things like pinecones and little ceramic birds. We definitely do not do anything bright colored or too loud. We're boring. We like washed out colors.
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind? I just turn on Sirius' holiday stations or Pandora holiday stations. I love upbeat holiday jazz.

2. What are your favorite ways to celebrate? Decorating, watching claymation Christmas movies, baking, warmed apple cider with bourbon, driving around with hot chocolate looking at lights.
3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays? lighted garland for the windows, a big tree (always real) with ornaments my mom gave me from my childhood. I will be making a new one for Tilly every year that she can take with her when she leaves home. We don't have a fireplace, so I'm at a loss as to how to do stockings. Suggestions?
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind? I like classic Christmas music, instrumental and/or choral arrangements. I'm not religious, but I love religious Christmas music. I also used to have a folk guitar Christmas album that I loved.
Christmas New Years!
For Christmas, we always save our vacation days to go back to my hometown. We spend like a week and a half visiting my family. I love it. Christmas Eve we spend with my mama's huge entire family, and Christmas Day is spent with my daddy's huge entire family. New Year's Eve, my aunt throws a big party at her house and everyone gets shiiitfaced and plays quarters lol
I go all out decorating the inside and outside of the house. We listen to Christmas music/watch Christmas shows, eat lots of comfort food, and bake delicious sweets :
I like the old fashioned Christmas classic music, country Chistmas music, and anything Christmasy that comes out of Vince Gill's mouth :
Just wanted to say that my mom gave each of us kids a new ornament for Christmas every year, and I loved taking them with me when I left home
As for the stockings, most people I know who don't have fireplaces (us included) hang them on the stairs.

3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays? It is fun and eclectic. I think I'm doing white and silver in my dining room to go with the dark blue walls. My Christmas tree has no rhyme or reason and has everything from silver engraved ornaments to Princess Leia a gold bikini.

2. What are your favorite ways to celebrate? pulling out all the decorations, wreaths, candles, snowmen and decorating, decorating, decorating!! I love Christmas decorations and candles

White lights (only!) on the biggest farm tree that will fit in our family room, ornaments from our childhood and one from each year and each significant milestone in our life together, snowmen, blocks with letters, advent calendars, lots and lots of holiday scented yankee candles, baking, parties.. I love winter in New England.
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind? Yes, but we don't have a stereo. We listen to Pandora through our flat screen. We have a little bit of everything. Nothing silly though. I can't stand Adam Sandler, cartoons, etc.

2. What are your favorite ways to celebrate? deocorating the tree, I love to buy and wrap presents, shopping, listening to Christmas music, watching Christmas movies, spending time with family, staring at the tree decorated
3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays? I don't have much decor. We decorate the tree with clear lights and the ornaments are red, white, silver and gold. I have red stockings with white snowflakes on them and a matching skirt and I have a wreath on the front door.
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind? Love pretty much all of it. They start playing Christmas songs on one of the channels here after Thanksgiving and I love it. I don't like country music though.
2. What are your favorite ways to celebrate? Making latkes, lighting candles (my mom and I used to make our candles for the menorah with a kit, which was awesome), playing dreidle, singing songs and carols (I love Christmas music when it isn't super religious). For New Year's we usually just get dressed up, eat a nice meal and stay up till midnight, sometimes with friends and sometimes with family.
3. How do you decorate your house/tree for the holidays? We just put the menorah in the window, don't have any other decorations.
4. Do you listen to holiday music? What kind? I really like the fun, modern songs rather than the more traditional ones. And of course Adam Sandler's Hanukkah songs are a must.
