  You might just need two different sound machines.

  We have this one. It can be plugged in and has options for a timer or not. You could use th heartbeat on one and white noise on the other.

  I just asked DH to see if he can find a track with both on itunes. We have my old ipod (first gen... so no apps) loaded with his rock-a-byes and I was thinking we could add that and just put it on repeat all night.  Thanks!

  I have this one and it has a white noise/heartbeat setting.  That's what we use in the nursery.  It plugs in and it does have a timer but you don't have to use it.  We don't use the timer, we just leave it on all night.
