Hi everyone, I posted this problem awhile back and am posting again in case anyone new reads it and has some ideas. DS sleeps in bed with me at night and for naps on weekends or after work I nurse him and either sleep with him or sneak out of the room. (The mattress is on the floor).
The problem is when I am at work. My mom watches him and she can only get him to sleep in the stroller on long walks outside. But now the weather is getting really cold! I don't think she should continue to walk around in the cold for two hours. She has tried getting him to nap on my bed with her but he just laughs at her and thinks it's a big joke (he obviously knows she isn't going to nurse him LOL). The crib and the pack and play he just pulls to stand and falls and pulls to stand over and over and doesn't sleep. I think he is too big for the swing and mamaroo now but he just growls when you put him in there anyway and tries to get out. My mom can't wear him bc she has back problems and DS won't sleep for anyone else that way anyway. All of these things aren't working - is there a way to make one of them work if we do something differently? Any ideas? Thanks so much!
Re: Where to nap?
DD slept in her swing until she was 15 months old and then from one day to the next she wanted to nap in her crib (she has been sleeping in her crib at night from the get go and that was never a problem). She napped at daycare in the crib without any problem, just not at home.
So no advice really but just letting you know that DD was fine in the swing until she stopped using it at 15 months. As long as he hasn't passed the weight limit he should be ok to use it.
