Happy Veterans Day to everyone, especially are Military families here!
Side note - I went to get my Dad a Veterans Day card yesterday and I am not sure if they even make them but where we went didn't have any. So we got him a Thank You card!! LOL he thought it was funny and appreciated it
But it seems cards for the wrong holiday/occasion are semi regular in our family anyway. My brother gets us sympathy/kwanza/mitzvah cards for our birthdays
Re: Veterans Day
I never thought of getting DH a card either for veteran's day. I'm sure they have them at Hallmark though - they have cards for every other holiday!
So there's this boy. He kinda stole my heart. He calls me "Mom"

H and I went to Applebee's! I'm technically a vet, I guess, even without a deployment? Regardless, it was fun.
So this day is actually pretty significant for my family - it was my grandpa's birthday and the day he died suddenly at age 63. He served in the Pacific Theater during WWII, in the Army. Today was always kinda sad, because we would take my grandma to see his grave at Ft Indiantown Gap.
Well, she died about a year and a half ago... So now it's actually a pretty bittersweet and wonderful day now.
Happy Birthday and Veteran's Day, Grandpa. Say hi to Grandma for me.
What a mix of emotions today holds for you.
My DH goes to the Gap every couple months for a couple days.
