funny story crib related

So my mom flew in this weekend to help me get all of the nursery furniture and get the nursery ready as my husband's in grad school/working full time. We bought all of the furniture yesterday and were excited to put it together today. We started with the crib. Easy enough to put together, done in about 35 minutes. When we stepped back to admire our work, my mom said, "will that fit through the door?" We built the crib in the living room (more space) and planned to move it into the nursery. After measuring the door width and crib width we realized it will not fit through the doorway therefore we have to take it all apart and reassemble inside the nursery. Awesome...

    Not laughing at you, but that is really funny!  And it also sounds like something my mom and I would have done.  Look at it this way, you are making memories and one day your LO is going to love hearing the story about the time mommy and grandma built the crib in the wrong room. Good times!

    I had the same problem. I was given a crib by a friend of ours and they were trying to be nice and put it together for us. We got it in the house but then couldn't get it in the room. Hubby had to take it apart. They should make a warning or something in the directions to remind those of us with pregnancy brain that we can't build it outside the nursery. Smile

    Thanks ladies. We thought it was hilarious, once I got over the disappointment of not being as productive as I had hoped and realized that I had to tell DH that he would have to help me with it after all... :)

    That is funny.  I will have to keep that in mind when we get our crib.
