I have seen far worse than this! But the you-neek name thing kills me. DS has a very easy to spell name that people are constantly butchering now because other people have decided not to use the "real" spelling of the name and are making up their own versions. Kills me.

I have a daughter named Haley, and her name gets spelled incorrectly constantly. So many people have varied the spelling for their kid that no one knows how to spell such a normal basic name anymore.
Alivia. All I see is aliveia. Am I missing something? Anyone?
I love that name!!
JK!! I'm all about being slightly unique and different but I try to also not name my child something that future teachers will mispronounce and get them some asswoopin' on the playground. My DD's name is Aubrey and I saw it spelled Awbriegh once. I wanted to stab myself in the eye.
I had a student , Victorya. Of corse it is suppose to be Victoria..... She would get up set if I called her victory a. Another was Aislinn, for Ashlynn. For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to say it before school started. No wonder these kids have no concept of letter sounds! There is no "h" sound at all!
I am actually pretty sure "Aislinn" is the Irish spelling. A lot of Irish names do not follow English phonetics it seems. If we have a boy, his middle name is going to be Eoin, which is actually pronounced Owen, that's just the Irish spelling...Of course we are going to put the difficult name as the middle name so no one has to worry about it :-p
Wife to MC since Aug. 2008.
Proud mom of two furbabies: Bella ~ 6yo Boxer, Eddie ~ 4yo ESH Pointer mix (note: my dogs were NOT named after Twilight...)
My friend works at a school and he had twin boys in his class. Their names......
Boya & Boyb.....
They thought the hospital named the kids for them and they were BOY A and BOY B.......
That is the worst EVER!!!!!
hahahah Geeze. I work in a school and I have kids that are named queen _____ or king ____. They have 8 kids. Boys all start with king (ie. king Trevon) or queen (Queen Anne).
Also I had a student 3 years ago that the name is pronounced a-soul-e. It was spelled a$$-hole. Yup really.
K-E was another kid we had. prounounced K-dash-e. Yeah that's a good one.
Ugh, what are people thinking?

That is AMAZING.
My friend called me a few months ago, giggling, to tell me that there's a little boy in her son's daycare with the same name as my dog - Indiana!
