Would love to hear ideas from anyone planning on giving grandparents a creative Christmas gift that involves photos (could be a past gift too) or is handmade. We have done a photo book, prints, and butterfly footprint on a trivet. Our families already have too much stuff and love anything with DD photo or made by her. I am searching pinterest but wanted to ask here too.
Re: Christmas Photo or Handmade Gifts
Ditto to the calendar! I make one for my mom every year. It's her favorite gift!
I plan on making a foot print plate for both grandmas this year. You pick a white plate from the dollar store, dip your child's foot in paint, make a print, and then write, "MistleTOES" on it. You then bake it in the oven, which supposedly seals it. I found it on Pintrest, so I'm sure you can search for it easily.
Another yes for the calendar! I made a desk and wall one on shutterfly last year with some coupons they were sending around. They were a big hit. I tried to use seasonal pictures to go with each month, but if I didn't have anything I just put a pic of LO with the recipient or whatever.
I'm definitely making more this year!
This year we will do another calendar and a reindeer foot plate at a ceramic painting place. We did the first last week and they came out great!

11 1/2 x 14 $17.99
Desktop bundle of 3 $19.99
Thanks! That's much more affordable!
I just made hand print ornaments this weekend. They are SUPER inexpensive to make and they turned out really cute. I made them with salt dough (which is basically just flour, salt, and water) and then just baked them for 3 hours. I'm just finishing them off with a coat of acrylic paint. The recipe I used made 3 of them plus there was some dough left over.
