I have a Subaru Forester and an almost 3 year old who needs to be in a convertible seat. Is there any way to fit a convertible and 2 infant seats with bases on one not so big back seat? Not having bases with removable seats in not an option.

    I had a Saturn Vue when the twins were born and 2 1/2 year old. They fit with older one in the middle. It was VERY tight, but we managed for a few months that way. Older one had a Sunshine Radian, narrowest seat out there.

    So you have to use infant seats? (I'm confused by your last sentence)

    The Radians can be used from newborn on, but they aren't portable and lean back really far. I managed to fit 3 across the back seat of a little 3 series BMW (2 radians, one Maxi Cosi Priori). So it can be done, but I couldn't make it work using infant seats. You might have to try installing with lap belts instead of latch.

    I should have said I'm not interested in not having infant seats. I couldn't imagine having one child without one, never mind 2.
